Who We Are

Khai Tzedek is Hebrew for “living justice”. The vision is to see justice and restoration in people’s lives, and we connect with other professionals, agencies, and partners as we work toward this.

The organisation was founded in 2017 out of a deep desire to bring lasting change. Khai Tzedek is grounded in the firm belief that we are all created in God’s image and that He deeply values each one of us. Since its early days, our team has developed and we now have a core group of wonderful people with a variety of professional experience. They offer their time pro-bono and bring knowledge, skill, and heart to our work.

Khai Tzedek’s services are open to asylum seekers and refugees. It is not dependent on background, ability, faith (or none), race, gender, sexual orientation, or any other status.

Khai Tzedek CIC (community interest company) is a social enterprise. This means that any surplus funds will be re-invested in the organisation to provide continued advocacy for our client group. A proportion will also be donated to a charity working directly with children and young people (under 18) who have been trafficked.

What We Do

Khai Tzedek’s independent advocates work with clients to support them through a human trafficking and / or asylum case. We also offer a comprehensive “move on” service that supports survivors who have been granted leave to remain and enables them to build the foundations to move forward with life. Our advocates are professionally trained and qualified and have knowledge and experience in different areas.

We truly listen to our clients and believe it is important to empower them through the advocacy process. We respect and nurture the whole person, giving regard to physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural aspects of their life – whilst working to secure the best possible response in their case.

Khai Tzedek works with women and men, with the aim of supporting unaccompanied asylum-seeking young people in the future. We receive experienced legal support which brings further specialist knowledge and enhances the value of our service.
