Sisters Not Strangers is a campaign to build solidarity for women who have come to the UK seeking safety but have instead been made destitute.
They surveyed 115 refugee and asylum seeking women about how they have survived during the pandemic. The report found that women who were already living in poverty before the outbreak were even more vulnerable to hunger, ill health, exploitation and abuse.
